Ad Age Launches in Central America With First Foreign-Language Edition

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- The first foreign-language edition of Advertising Age launches this month in Central America, with the introduction of Advertising Age America Central y El Caribe by Grupo Cerca, a regional publishing company based in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The monthly print publication will cover seven Spanish-speaking countries in Central America and the Caribbean, including Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Many marketers and agencies take a similar approach, managing Central America as a region. Grupo Cerca already publishes regional magazines such as business title Mercados & Tendencias.

The new magazine kicks off May 18 with a week of launch events in Panama, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
