Does your school have a newspaper that would accept a special section or to perhaps become a delivery vehicle for your magazine? Unless the goal is the magazine presentation, perhaps there's another medium for your group member art that would be equally rewarding without the budget required for a formal print magazine. Raising funds for poor children sounds like a great cause that would have some donation value if you do create a magazine or a show. Sponsorships and advertising can also be a great source for funding if you've developed your formal cause and have some faculty or community support. Good luck!
