I'm new to the site. I am launching a magazine in 2012. My circulation numbers are extremely low and the magazine will only be published twice a year. The mag is gonna be kinda pricey with approx. 350 pgs, a cloth hardcover and hot stamping/foil de-bossing. I want to offer brand sponsored magazine launch events in key markets in the US where the magazine can be found (LA, San Fran, Hou, Chi, Miami and NYC) to off-set the low circ. numbers.
These brands will of course be featured in the magazine as well but they must commit to the launch events as part of a package deal.
Any Idea on a range brands spend on magazine/brand centric events to include a personality (not necessarily household names but individuals who are important and well respected within their scene) or how much money I can ask? Or where I can possibly get this information?
I have heard clubs pay straight out of their pockets but not really wanting to be hampered in doing these events in clubs. Interested in organizing in places that are unconventional, surprising and memorable such as in laundromats, empty grain silos, skate parks, public pools etc...
