Congrats on getting started with your online publication!
Tips for getting traffic to the site would be the same things you would need to do in order to make any site successful. Unfortunately, too many people think that you just throw a site up on the web, sit back, and wait for traffic to find the site.
You'll need to use both online and offline methods to generate traffic to your site.
Don't overlook methods such as:
* Article marketing (online)
* Traditional press releases to local media to generate interest in your publication*
* Video marketing
* Podcasting
As with any online business, establishing a relationship with your clients/readers/advertisers/vendors is vital, so be sure to keep them coming back to your site or you will lose them.
