What sort of magazine are you [starting]?

Folks don't seem to post nearly enough information about their magazine here, imo. There are so many different backgrounds, intents, needs, etc. So I figured I'd start it off:

GUD (pronounced "good") is Greatest Uncommon Denominator, an award-winning print/pdf semi-pro (pays 3c/word) magazine with two hundred pages of literary and genre fiction, poetry, art, and articles.

Seeks material that extends or rejects the boundaries of its stereotype. We're looking for: genre fiction that literary folks can appreciate; literary fiction that genre folks can appreciate; and poetry that poets and non-poets alike can appreciate. We want strong writing, a solid understanding of the English language, characters to care about, and a compelling arc (be it character or plot--preferably both).
