Do it myself or find partners/investors?
I know with any business, the more you own, the more you control. In today's economy though it seems to be a kittle more difficult financially to start a magazine. My question is this.... Am I better off trying to finance everything myself on a shoestring or do I find partners or investors?Input/feedback always appreciated. ChrisSee More

If your still looking, would be happy to send you copies of mine. As for payment, in this economy, get the money up front to start. As you build a relationship with advertisers then you can provide terms. Paypal is easy to use and affordable.

Thanks for the input MR, always appreciated. I have had the magazine on hold due to the economy, but have been working diligently with the local community to build up awareness. I hope to be up and running again by February.

I am in the process of starting up a magazine and will be launching the first issue in January of 2012. I had produced one print issue in September of 2009; http://issuu.com/ieautomag/docs/layout I had a bit of a problem selling advertising space in a magazine that had yet to be printed so I ended up primarilty funding about 76% of the magazine myself and after printing my first issue the economy took a crap and I put the magazine on the back…See More
