Print is not dead!!!

Found an interesting blog entry about print. People said movies would be the death of theater, TV would be the death of radio and color film would replace black and white. They were wrong. The same holds true for print vs. web. The blog I read concluded that "print is dying as a standalone against the web, but used as an addition
it can be a powerful tool."

People still like to pick up books and magazines and flip through them. Images still speak to us. We still have this innate need to touch something. If it's tangible then it's real to us.

Have you heard about the "Power of Print" campaign? A group of magazine executives said something very similar in their online campaign video. I'm not sure how effective this campaign will be (it includes something like $90 million in ad money and 1,400 ad pages across many publications), but it appears that print won't go down without a fight.
