Freelance vendors and outsourcing is necessary at first and perhaps makes sense long term depending on the model. Large pubs aren't showing that in-house is the answer.

Comment by Kaolin Fire on May 6, 2009 at 6:27pm - Any chance I could _stop_ experiencing all positions within a publication would be welcome ;) Well, we don't have staff writers and I don't do layout, but that's about it. The "and more" is the worst part--marketing, finances, etc, etc.
